C'mon C'mon...SEE IT SEE IT. C'mon C'mon...SEE Tha Solution!

Symantec is in da HOUSE! Is there anything more absolutely positively pathetic than corporate anthems? I say nay. Remember the Bank of America ode to U2? Well, the spunky Jocelyn McCanles (whose Dad read her Dostoyevsky's Notes From The Underground at the dinner table when she was growing up) has unearthed three more gems, including this Symantec re-imagining of Marky-Mark + The Funky Bunch's Good Vibrations. SEE IT SEE IT!!! It's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Here's Jocelyn's link so you can go listen to the other two, including "Ahhh Fujitsu," where the employees are "smiling at each new hour."
previously in corporate idiocy:
1. M&Ms, for Business.
2. 3rd ad of the campaign: Fo Shizzle My Nizzle.
3. Super Duper Double Extra Strength Ziploc!!!
4. Murdering Cereal with Marketing.
5. WHO THE F*CK GAVE MY GOLDFISH NAMES?

while the symantec one inspires thoughts of finding and seriously hurting the 'artists' performing it (particularly the background/power vocalist...who sounds a little shrill....not that you can blame her....must just be the result of realizing her 'career' as a singer is about as appealing as my 2 year old daughter's shitty diapers....) i think 'ahhh fujitsu' is genius.

there is something absolutely refreshing about the completely shame-free song. i can just imagine fujitsu employees worldwide getting excited about this sort of thing. none of that 'bitter, north american sarcasm' there - just pie in the sky 'fujitsu is everything we will ever need'.

This is freaking torture. I could have lived my entire life without coming across this one.
You are a mean man.

Besides the lame casio-keyboard production, the scariest part is how they felt the need to do a whole 5 minute song, and not just a 2 minute little jingle thing. Did they think this would get radio airplay? Are they filming a video for MTV? WTF?

The one about the Sarbanes-Oxley Act is actually fabulous. As a person who works in government, I would be sooo excited if they made up cheesy songs to explain pieces of legislation.

When I worked at Google there was a company-wide sales conference where the bigwigs dressed in 1970s clothes and sang the Brady Bunch theme. I'm still traumatized.
