I've deleted the post that was here because it greatly upset one of my readers who hates me, but keeps on reading, for some reason.

Sorry.

He wrote Blogger to demand that they take my blog down, calling me a "misopedist" for my obviously fake-hatred of children. He's been reading me obsessively for years. My fake-hatred of children is of course not the reason he wrote Blogger.

This showed up in my feed twice; are you taking down multiple posts because of some thin skinned douche?

You know, I like a lot of your posts, but sometimes one comes by by which I am not interested, or on which I find myself disagreeing with your stance... what's the address to which I write to get you to pull those posts from the free personal blog that no one can force me to read? /sarcasm

How is he going to know if you're offending him if he doesn't read you obsessively?! He might miss something!! (exclamations to give sense of crazy voice)

I had never heard the noun 'misopedist' before.

My prior knowledge of this condition, real or faked was of W. C. Fields, the American actor known for his comic persona as a misanthropic and hard-drinking egotist who remained a sympathetic character despite his snarling contempt for dogs, children and women.

My curiosity led me to other commonly known 'miso' terms:

misogynist - hatred of women

misogamist - one who hates marriage

misology - a hatred of argument, reasoning,

misoneism - a hatred, fear or intolerance of innovation or change

... and then there's this really fun one, the Italian:

misogallo - hater of the French
